From the current Private Eye. I think they may have printed this cartoon before, but it's still true.

Stapleton Road station art text
Drawings by local children exhibited at Stapleton Road station. The first two are obviously based on ancient Egypt. The last two are a bit of a puzzle. They both show two bearded men(in the sea?) embracing one another while a large bird (seemingly with four wings in the last picture) flies overhead. Do they refer to a particular story?

Andover - text
"Andover
Perhaps one day everybody will live in Andover. Until then, here are some photos of my visit today.
1. This sinister building is the first large building you see when arriving by train.
2. Twinings(tea?) factory. It smelt nice.
3. Andover dandelion
4. Andover battle scene.
5. Andover ox cart.
6. Andover weaving
7. The goddess, Brigid.
8. pre-Roman celtic art.
9.(shadow of) The Wherwell cockatrice. The result of an unholy union between a toad and a hawk. It used to eat people.
10. Tea in the museum cafe.
11. A pleasant quarter. Something of a rarity.
12. Andover is famous for its giant fish that swim in air rather than water. Quite unnerving when you first see them.
13. Andover fruit machine"

Cycle Lanes
There's been some controversy over the proposal to introduce Highway Code advice that "cyclists should use cycle facilities whenever they are available". Cycle groups have been pointing out that many cycle lanes are badly designed and downright dangerous in some cases.
The BBC has been running a feature on them on its website and asked people to send in examples of bad practice.
I think this one is a beaut!

shop windows - text
In the meantime here are some photos I've taken of shop windows.
1. From an art shop. View of Glastonbury Tor. The artist who did this also paints a lot of Bristol views in the same style.
2.The Joke Shop
3. Strange banknotes with all sorts of celebrities on.
4. Detail from one of the banknotes. This shop is located between Christmas Steps and The Ship on Perry Road. there used to be a lot more collectors shops in this area. There are still a few left.
5. Flower shop and bloke at the top of Christmas Steps

Where does our food come from?
Many people today are unaware where our food comes from.
For example, lots of people buy food in the Spar, but how many know that it is delivered there by a lorry?
Well, this photo proves that this is the case. I don't think the lorry driver (in a lorry with "Spar" on the side in big letters - I think that's significant) is moving trolleys full of food around just for the good of his health - he is obviously delivering it to the store, where it will be sold.
If you don't think this is a genuine photograph, I can get six, no twelve, witnesses who were with me when I took it.
