Cycle Lanes

There's been some controversy over the proposal to introduce Highway Code advice that "cyclists should use cycle facilities whenever they are available". Cycle groups have been pointing out that many cycle lanes are badly designed and downright dangerous in some cases.

The BBC has been running a feature on them on its website and asked people to send in examples of bad practice.

I think this one is a beaut!

the car door one is scary, I'm often nervous on the road of car doors being opened by their occupants but also people opening car doors getting in often either don't seem to notice me or realise I have to swing out into the road and traffic to go round/avoid them...annoying
