Ross Daly is a musician featured on Radio Three's +Late Junction quite often.
He is Irish, but lives in Crete where he runs a music school and museum of Eastern instruments. He plays the Cretan Lyra.
Postscript: I put this link on last night after the lady on Late Junction said it was a brilliant website. Well, it's not that good, just basic info. No sound clips, nothing about his museum, etc. You have to allow Pop-ups to see it too. But his music is great, you can often hear it on LJ.
